Cafe EtcDeck the halls with boughs of holly… All the Christmas cheer is blended into this tea, making it the go-to tea to reach for throughout the holiday season. This loose leaf tea will leave church members feeling warm and jinglingly festive.
This Christmas Mulled tea is a full-bodied, rich and aromatic blend, full of festive, fruity flavours that are very much reminiscent of mulled wine.
This blend is packed with antioxidants from the hibiscus and rosehip shells. The spices, in particular the ginger, in the blend are known to aid digestion and support a healthy gut.
Ingredients: Pieces of hibiscus, rosehip shells, apple, orange peel, cinnamon and ginger.
How to make: Fruit and herbal teas are best made with water brought to a full boil and used immediately for the tea to release its full flavour (if you're using a teapot remember to warm the pot first). Use one teabag per person or one teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per person. Allow to brew for 3-4 minutes. This fruit tea is best enjoyed on its own, without milk or lemon. Naturally, you’ll be reaching for a mince pie to enjoy throughout December and our mulled tea is the perfect blend to wash it down with.
Storage: Make sure you store your tea in an airtight container – a tin is better than plastic, or seal up the packaging it arrives in. Although tea feels dry, it contains 3% moisture and oils that are essential to its flavour. If not properly stored these can evaporate. Keep your tea in a fairly cool, dry place, which is out of sunlight and try to keep away from any spices that could taint the flavour.
